Walnut Cove Little League got its start in the 1960's when a group of parents had a desire to build a local program for youth to learn the basic fundamentals of baseball, starting with t-ball and working their way through coach pitch to minors and majors baseball.

 

The goal of the league has always been to promote and develop the skills of all the participants in our programs.  Our dedication has always been to the children, their families and the games of baseball and softball.  Although our name has changed, we remain a 100% non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

 

The object of Walnut Cove Little League is to continue to pursue the league's goals and to implant firmly in the youth of our communities the ideals of good sportsmanship, honestly, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier youth who will grow to become good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens who will give back to their communities.
